Dr. Tina McManus graduated from Bastyr University with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). While she has always been interested in nutrition and natural health, it wasn’t until she developed an autoimmune condition in her late 30s that she began searching for answers outside of conventional medicine. Once she started looking, she found that there are many ways to restore health and vitality! And yet, in this country, people are sicker than ever. With a healthcare crisis looming, she wanted to be a part of the solution.
In addition to the core program of botanical medicine, nutrition, pharmacology, physical medicine, and homeopathy, Dr. McManus did elective study in functional neurology, environmental medicine, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, IV therapy, and microbiome restoration. She believes strongly in evidence-based medicine, which is guided by research from the medical literature, clinician experience, and patient preference.
Dr. McManus is passionate about helping her patients feel better by using a well-rounded approach, that includes foundational elements like diet and lifestyle in addition to herbs, supplements, and pharmaceutical drugs when needed. She loves the challenge of being a health detective for complicated, chronic cases, and she believes strongly in the naturopathic principle of “Docere” or “doctor as teacher”. Teaching patients about the nature of their conditions and the therapeutic options available empowers them to make informed choices about how best to address their health. And when patients are actively involved in their own care, they tend to have better outcomes. Dr. McManus’ goal is to help her patients live a beautiful life.
